Well last night I ran into a old friend while shopping at Wal-Mart. Turns out he's getting married soon and is looking for a wedding photographer. I told him to check out my website (which in turn will lead him here where I have failed to update lately). So its the perfect excuse to get back to doing this. Over the last month I have been pretty busy. I shot my first wedding, went on a mini vacation, went to the zoo, attended another wedding, had Edinson Volquez autograph my Reds vs Reds Sox ticket with a pen that didn't work, did a photo shoot with a former WWE superstar (who smashed my camera in my face with a punch), #1 ranked MMA female fighter and a guy who is calling out Kimbo, gotten two parking tickets and have racked up enough photos to never be able to look at all of them.
I have just now finished the editing for the wedding I shot. It was a long tedious process but I have learned a lot about my workflow and have become much more efficient. The actual wedding day went pretty smooth even with the on and off showers coming down. The girls where a blast to follow around during the day. Our downtown adventure attracted plenty of attention. The time really started flying by then and we had to head back. Unfortunately, the guys seemed to be busy all day running errands, and were much tougher to catch up to during the day. The ceremony was very short and sweet. I wish it was a bit longer so I could have gotten some more shots in, but it was a hot and humid day so many people were thankful to get out of the sun and to get started eating some huge crawfish. I was told they were delicious but I am allergic to them :(. I ended up taking well over 1000 photos and filled around 14 gigs or so or memory. I even ran short of memory in my Nikon D300 which I had 10 gigs worth. Just trying to organize so many photos can be tough. Anyway, to sum it up....it was a lot of fun and a lot of work and I can't wait for the next one. Below is just a small sample of the day... And again, thanks to Joe and Jina for the opportunity. You guys where great to work with.

Zoo Trip
I finally took my camera to the zoo! I was excited about seeing the new Cheetah show where they actually get the cheetahs to run after something. So we get there and the sign says to stay seated during the show. Darn...their went my different angles...plus the good shots would be at the end of the long cage (away from the stands). But then it gets worse. The fence they have is very think and very reflective. Impossible to autofocus past. I left the cheetah event with very little to show. However, the polar bears where very active and battling each other to the death! Well...maybe just playing till ones ear bled a little.
